This year we celebrate The Beatles 50th anniversary of coming to America and officially changing the music landscape forever.
To commemorate the occasion, CBS held a tribute special on the same
date and at the same time The Beatles first performed in the U.S. on the
Ed Sullivan show.
The special, which included performances by Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, and a host of other prominent artists like John Legend, Alicia Keys and Stevie Wonder aired Feb. 9 (TV Mix had a reporter inside. Read her account here).
