After 22 years, Jay Leno officially left the Tonight Show, handing the reigns over to 38-year-old comedian and Late Night host, Jimmy Fallon.
According to the New York Daily News, NBC paid Leno $15
million to get him to leave the show before his contract is up in
September. The network hopes to use its Winter Olympics 2014 coverage to
springboard Fallon as the new host.
