The Fractals-First Edit

Everyone knows, Philly boys do it right, and the quartet that make up The Fractals are no exception. They croon, they swing, they rock and roll. They tear it up with a sense of cohesion amidst chaos.  They beat drum kits and guitars with talent and ferocity not heard locally since the underground 90’s scene that they also had an instrumental hand in creating with their previous musical endeavor, Huffamoose. A decade of music making under their belts means these guys lay down smooth tracks which redefine every old school-notion you had about pop-punk, and put other rocker vets to shame. It’s because of this that they represent and epitomize the hard-hitting nature of the city from which they hail, Philadelphia.

Never published. This was the first draft that I sent to Philly Weekly yesterday, and the editor told me it "reads as a long platitude." (I had to look up the definition of "platitude," it means "trite, meaningless, biased statement, often presented as if it were significant and original." Ouch. At least he was nice in the way he said it.)
